Sciatica describes irritation along the path of the sciatic nerve. It can be related to a disc, joint changes, or tight muscles in the hip, and the cause shapes what care makes sense.
An evaluation looks at how symptoms change with movement, reflexes and strength, and whether imaging or a medical referral is needed.
